    • COAST is a mobile crisis outreach and intervention service offering immediate telephone counselling, and if necessary, on-site crisis outreach intervention in the home or on community locations
  • Distress Centre – 905-688-3711
    • Distress Centre provide support to individuals in distress or crisis and education to the Niagara community which assists people to take ownership of personal choices and manage their lives in a healthy manner
  • Access Line – 1-866-550-5205
    • Access Line provide telephone support for adult residents of Niagara facing addiction and mental health concerns

Walk-In Counselling –offered 5 days/week across the County. Offered at various agencies including CMHA, Woodstock Hospital, Oxford County Community Health Centre, and Walk in and It’s FREE!

MHEART-Mental Health Engagement Response Team –is a new partnership with police and CMHA Crisis and Outreach where crisis workers may attend mental health calls…/local-ne…/cmha-teams-up-with-police/ . If someone is suicidal and feeling unsafe, they can call the police. From

For anyone attending the emergency department, Woodstock Hospital has Mental Health Crisis Nurses that will see anyone in ER that may be presenting with a mental health issue. For anyone attending Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll or Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, CMHA Crisis and Outreach Team is called to talk with anyone who presents in the ER with mental health concerns.

Anyone can walk into CMHA (Woodstock office only) between 9-4pm (Monday to Friday) and speak with a Crisis and Outreach Worker

SafeTALK and ASIST Trainings are periodically offered in the community which helps to teach people how to talk about suicide and how to get someone to a safe place or person if they are thinking about suicide (contact Jenilee Ookcay or call 519 539 8055 ext 211 for more details).

The Oxford County Suicide Prevention Team is also developing a “Pathways Document” that will help guide someone to the right support, depending on how they are thinking about suicide.
